Why I built this

After helping hundreds of people find remote work, I kept seeing the same problem. People were juggling five or ten different tools just to apply for one job: one for the CV, another for interview prep, another for aptitude tests. I built RemoteReady to put it all in one place and make getting a remote job simpler, especially for us in Africa.

How to install it (one time)

We are waiting for Chrome Web Store approval, which will make this a one-click install. For now, follow these simple steps to add it manually. It only takes about 5 minutes.

    Download and unzip. Click Download Helper above. It downloads from Google Drive. If Drive shows a warning that it cannot scan the file, click Download anyway. Then find the zip file, right-click it, choose Extract All, then Extract. You get a folder.
  2. 2
    Open the Extensions page. In Chrome, type chrome://extensions in the address bar and press Enter.
  3. 3
    Turn on Developer mode. Find the switch at the top right of that page and turn it on.
  4. 4
    Load the helper. Click Load unpacked. Find the folder from Step 1, open it until you see the files inside, then click Select Folder.
  5. 5
    Allow it on all sites. Click Details on the MM RemoteReady box. Scroll to Site access and choose On all sites. This step matters. If you skip it, the helper looks like it is not working.
  6. 6
    Open it anytime. Go to any website and press Alt + Shift + M on your keyboard. The helper appears. Press the same keys to close it.

If it does not open

First check you did Step 5 and set it to On all sites. Then refresh the page with F5. The helper cannot run on Chrome settings pages, so open a normal website first, then try again.

⚠ Read this first: how to spot a scam

A real job never asks you to pay to start. If a site asks for a registration fee, a training fee, or money to unlock tasks, walk away. Be careful of anyone promising huge money fast, like KES 80,000 in your first week. Real online work starts small, around KES 3,000 to 35,000 a month while you learn, and grows over time. Never share your M-Pesa PIN or send money to claim a job. Genuine platforms pay you, not the other way around.

💬 Chat Moderation & Chatter Jobs

Operator and chat moderation platforms. These hire worldwide and pay per message or per hour.

🔥 OnlyFans Chatter Agencies

Agencies that hire chatters to manage subscriber conversations and sell PPV content for creators. Most hire worldwide, train you free, and pay per hour plus commission. You must be 18+, type 40+ WPM, and have strong written English.

Chatter scam warning: A real agency never charges you to start or train. Never pay a "setup fee" or send money to get hired. Never share your own bank or M-Pesa PIN. Be wary of "$10,000 a month guaranteed" promises. A real agency has a proper website, clear pay terms, and free training. If they are vague or rushing you to sign, walk away.

Admin, email, scheduling, social media, and research support for busy clients abroad.

🩺 Medical Virtual Assistant

Support doctors and clinics with scheduling, charting, and documentation. Pays more than general VA. A medical terminology course helps a lot (see Free Courses tab).

⌨ Data Entry & Microtasks

Small online tasks like data entry, surveys, and transcription. Good starting point with no experience. Earnings start small and grow.

🤖 AI Training Jobs (Higher Pay)

Rate and improve AI answers, label data, and give feedback to train AI models. These pay more (often $15 to $40 an hour) but onboarding can be slow and work comes in waves. Tip: register on two or three so you always have tasks. Swahili and other African languages are in demand.
